This puff vinyl has a secret. Indoors, your design presses up soft, puffy, and white — clean and simple. Then you walk out into the sunshine and the color shows up: purple, blue, pink, yellow, blooming right on the shirt while everybody watches. It puffs AND it changes color — two surprises in one sheet.
You get 4 sheets in assorted light-change colors (white turns purple, blue, pink, and yellow in the sun), each 10 x 12 inches (25 x 30 cm) — sized for beach day tees, pool party shirts, camp and recess gear, and those matching vacation shirts where the group photo happens outside anyway. It cuts on Cricut and Silhouette machines just like regular HTV: mirror your design, cut, weed, press once. Keep your designs big and bold — chunky letters, suns, waves, smiley faces — puff is made for shapes that read across the pool deck.
How to press it
Works on cotton, polyester, and cotton/poly blends — tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags, and camp gear. Puff rises best on soft fabrics.
How the magic works
Regular indoor light leaves it white. Sunlight switches the color on — the stronger the sun, the faster and brighter it blooms. Head back inside and it fades to white again, all by itself, ready for the next sunny day. One heads-up from the maker: leaving a finished shirt baking in direct sun for hours on end (5+) can fade the vinyl over time, so enjoy it outside — just don't store it on a sunny windowsill.

Does it work on a cloudy day?
Yes — it still changes outdoors on a cloudy day, because the UV that switches it on gets through the clouds. Direct sunshine just does it faster and brighter. Bright sun is the full show; a cloudy recess is the softer version.
Does the color come back every time? And does it turn white again?
Every time. Walk outside, the color blooms; walk back inside, it fades back to white on its own. That's the whole trick, and it repeats day after day. It isn't a one-time reveal.
How long does the color last outside?
As long as the shirt is in the sun, the color stays on. Bring it back indoors and it fades to white within minutes. There's no timer to beat — the shirt follows the sunshine.
Do I need to "charge" it first, like glow vinyl?
No charging, no batteries, no waiting. It doesn't store light — it reacts to the sunlight that's hitting it right now. If the sun is out, the color is out.
Can I layer it with my other vinyl?
We recommend using it on its own or as the very top layer. Puff has to go on last anyway — anything pressed over it flattens the puff — and this film's color show is best with nothing covering it.
Can I use an iron instead of a heat press?
A heat press gives the firm, even pressure puff needs to rise evenly, so that's what we recommend. If you use a household iron, skip the steam, press down hard and evenly — and test a small piece first.
What should I put it on?
Cotton, polyester, and cotton/poly blends — tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags. It's a summer favorite: pool parties, beach days, summer camp, field day, and family vacation matching shirts.
